This movement first started around the 1960s. A varitety of artists around the world may use this form of art around the city buildings, trains, and other places with a flate surface to portray either the artist's view in society or to even create awareness of certain topics to the general public.

CornBread

Darryl McCray, CornBread's real name, started doing graffiti in the 1960s of Philadelphia and was known as the world's first modern graffiti writer and artist. He is mostly known for tagging his tag name "CornBread" around his hometown.
